How to fix the X pattern?
Make sure your filter is set between the Min and Max marks. Adjust your focal length and your position and then reduce the ND’s density value by rotating the ring towards the Min mark until the pattern disappears.
How to choose the right thread?
Please verify your cameras lens thread size based on “Ø” marking on lens barrel or underneath lens cap before purchasing.
Note* The focal length(eg. ED 14-42mm) is not the filter size.
- For this variable ND filter, the lens cap/hood should be different, such as a 49mm variable ND filter, you have to choose a 52mm lens cap.
