●ECO-FRIENDLY SWEDISH DISHCLOTH/SPONGE CLOTHS: When we first started to import these Swedish dishcloths from Sweden in 2013, these were new to the US market. Due to the eco-friendliness and the amazing number of uses, these sponge cloths have become ever-popular in the states. We collaborate with awesome artists to create unique and colorful patterns but we also found that many people would like them without designs.
●THE ZERO WASTE CLEANING CLOTH: Reusable + washable + sustainable equals a zero waste cleaning cloth that will add fresh pops of color and modern style to the look of your kitchen while being nice to our planet at the same time. Each cloth replaces 15-17 rolls paper towel. Ideal for streak-free cleaning of household surfaces. Let your imagination be your guide. Also great for wiping little hands, fruit, counters, paws, walls and much more.
●NATURAL + COMPOSTABLE: Made from 70% wood cellulose pulp fibers + 30% recycled cotton. When it’s seen its better days, cut to pieces and toss into compost - from the earth and back to the earth. If there is a design on one of our sponge cloths, it was printed at the original Swedish printers and the ink used is water-based using GOTS standards (Global Organic Textile standard).
●WASHABLE + REUSABLE + DRIES FAST: Each cloth is typically good for up to 200 wash cycles. Wash in washing machine or dishwasher. Sanitize in water in microwave. Hang to dry over a dishcloth rail or sink. Because the sponge cloths dry very quickly this helps the cloth to be odor resistant helping to keep your kitchen fresh and clean.
●SUPER ABSORBENT: Each Swedish sponge cloth easily absorbs 15 times its weight in water (that’s about 3/4 cup liquid)! The size of each dry cloth is 6.75 x 8”. When dry the cloth is stiff but when damp it is soft like a chamois and very pliable. Please do not mistake the sponge cloth for a towel. Think of it as a thin sponge.

Description
THE SWEDISH EARTH-FRIENDLY SPONGE CLOTH is made in Germany out of natural fibers 70% plant-based cellulose pulp and 30% recycled cotton fibers. It has been a Swedish household staple since its invention in 1949 by a Swedish engineer. Due to the nature of the natural fibers, the sponge cloth is 100% compostable. A sponge cloth will replace 15-17 rolls of paper towel, saving cost and reducing overall waste in landfills which aids in saving our planet. Each Swedish sponge cloth easily absorbs 15 times its weight in water (that’s about 3/4 cup liquid)! The wet sponge cloth is soft like a chamois and perfect for wiping all household surfaces including appliances, granite, laminate and glass without streaking, just as it is perfect for drying off fruits and vegetables and wiping your dog’s paws. Because the sponge cloths dry very quickly this helps the cloth to be odor resistant helping to keep your kitchen fresh and clean. Depending on how the cloth is used and personal choice, the lifespan of each dishcloth varies but is typically good for 200 wash cycles. Once it has reached the end of its life, cut up the cloth and add to your compost heap where it will degrade naturally - from earth back to earth. Always rinse the cloth before first use.
