Introducing the Mezuzah
Mezuzah is a Hebrew word that means "doorstep."
According to the Jewish tradition, you should place the Mezuzah at the entrance of your home and the entrance to the other interior rooms in the house.
Every door in a Jewish home (interior and exterior, front and side) requires a mezuzah.
This mezuzah with scroll for door, with the words from Deuteronomy, the fifth of the Five Books of Moses. Its demo scroll in this mezuzah, not Kosher.
Where Do Mezuzahs Hang?
You should hang a mezuzah on just about every doorway that belongs to you. Notable exceptions are doors leading to bathrooms and small closets.
The mezuzah should be hung on the right side of the door, on the top third of the doorway. The mezuzah should be right-side up, and slanted so that the top of the mezuzah faces inwards towards the room.
