CD60 aluminum electrolytic capacitors are suitable as starting capacitors for starting AC motors with 50 or 60 Hz. These capacitors provide a stable and reliable performance in a compact design and low weight.

WARNING: start capacitors are not suitable for continuous operation and must be separated from the nets after starting the engine, eg by a centrifugal switch or a relay. For continuous operation, an additional run capacitor is required. If a start capacitor after the starting of the motor to the mains, it comes after a short time to failure of the capacitor.

If you buy the capacitor as a replacement for a defective capacitor start, make sure that you actually need a starting capacitor. Does the exchanged capacitor the same name (CD60), you have nothing further notice. The capacitor can be easily replaced. If your device has 2 capacitors, is usually one of the two capacitors, a run capacitor and the other a starting capacitor. If only one capacitor should be present, it involves a run capacitor.
