Located on the deck of your trailer, these recessed nuts play a crucial role in securely fastening your snowmobile skis to the trailer deck. By tightening the tie-down screw, the pressure against the ski bar, which rests on top of your skis, ensures a tight “clamping” against the deck of the trailer, effectively securing your machine. Over time, it is natural for these inserts to experience wear and tear from corrosion and/or misuse. To avoid unexpected issues during your trips, it is highly recommended to keep several spare inserts readily available.
