In 2007, the Guardian Fall Protection, "Edge Harness" received a Gold International Design Excellence Award and was recognized by Business Week magazine. In conjunction with a design team who has worked with Nike, Microsoft, Leupold and Steven, Guardian set out to design the safest and most versatile harness on the market. The padded shoulder, leg and back are made of closed cell foam with mesh lining that allows the material to breathe and trap sweat. Convenient slots offer workers a place to clip their radio, flashlight, pager, cell phone, or Hydrapak straw. This adjustment area allows 4-Inch of chest strap adjustment. All Edge Series harnesses feature a "Quick-Connect" friction torso buckle with a release tab. Positioning D-rings are backed with heavy duty cordura and a wear pad to increase durability. A back pad comfortably keeps the harness in a vest shape while still allowing for dorsal D-ring adjustment. Back pad includes an inside pocket that houses a cool-heat or hydration pack.
