The PVC round shim has an opaque gray color to indicate 0.0075" thickness, meets Federal Specification L-P-535, and has a standard tolerance. PVC (polyvinyl chloride), also known as vinyl, is a durable, nonconductive plastic that resists corrosion, many chemicals, and oils. The shim is color-coded for thickness identification.
