Simple installationThe ball and anchors are designed for simple, drop-in installation, using a quarter-turn latch locking system. This eliminates the need for tools and makes hitching up your trailer easier. |
Reliable safetyThe safety chain anchors are constructed from forged steel for maximum strength, and they feature large safety chain openings to accept heavy-duty clevis hooks from the largest of trailers. |
Heavy-duty ratingEach gooseneck hitch ball meets U.S. VESC V-19 specifications. Gooseneck balls are available with a 30,000 lbs. or 38,000 lbs. gross trailer weight rating (limited to lowest-rated towing component). |
Convenient storageWhen you’re not towing, the durable storage case allows you to keep the components organized and safely stored, while the rubber hole cover keeps the gooseneck ball hole free of grime and debris. |
There are three ways to set up your pickup truck for gooseneck towing:
1. Use the puck system in the truck bed. Not all trucks have this option.
2. Use installation brackets and a gooseneck head. This is the traditional method.
3. If your truck is already equipped for 5th wheel towing, use the existing base rails.
If your Ford, GM, Nissan or Ram truck is equipped with a puck system in the truck bed, a CURT OEM puck system gooseneck ball and safety chain anchor kit is the easiest way to equip your vehicle for gooseneck towing.
The components of the kit drop into the pucks with a simple quarter-turn anchoring system, and they can be removed whenever necessary to use the truck bed for hauling other cargo.
If your truck does not have a puck system, the traditional installation method is to use brackets and a gooseneck hitch. The hitch and brackets bolt onto the truck frame and are designed to be vehicle-specific for the easiest possible installation.
For a one-person installation, the Double Lock EZr gooseneck hitch is recommended. also offers style gooseneck hitches for Ford and Ram that install quickly and easily.
If your vehicle is already set up to tow a 5th wheel trailer – that is, if you have permanently installed 5th wheel base rails in the truck bed has two solutions.
The 5th wheel rail gooseneck hitch and bent plate 5th wheel rail gooseneck hitch easily drop into any industry-standard 5th wheel base rails and provide a 2 5/16” gooseneck ball and 25,000-lb. GTW capacity (limited to lowest-rated towing component).
