The Smooth Jaws Flat Nose Parallel Plier is Maun’s original problem solver adapted for delicate work. This tool, the 4870-140, is the most popular in our range, suitable for a smaller hand or more intricate work.

Its key distinguishing features are smooth jaws to prevent damage to workpieces and classic steel handles with detailing for added grip, often preferred by professional users.

The plier is 140 mm long and has a 10 mm jaw opening and 8 mm jaw width. The useable jaw length is 28 mm.

Like all Maun tools, this plier is built to last. It is constructed with blackened steel serrated jaws that are case hardened to HRC 57 for durability. To protect against rust, its handles are zinc plated. The

plier conforms to rigorous British and international standards (BS 3087-7:1996, ISO 5747:1995). It is manufactured in our factory in Nottinghamshire, England by our team of plier-making experts.
