Description

Tangentlok

Whittet-Higgins one-piece Tangentlok for bearing & power transmission retainer uses three (3) hex set screws tangent to the outside diameter to exert forces on the inner threaded section of the locknut toward the center of the shaft. As the inner threaded section of the locknut deforms it securely fastens the locknut to the shaft threads and allows precise adjustment and preloading of bearings and other mechanical components

Benefits:
--Self-Locking
--Balanced design for high speed applications
--Black oxide coated with wax finish to inhibit corrosion
--Engineered to prevent assemblies from loosening from large forces of vibration, shock and torque
--Uniform 360 degree thread-clamping to center of shaft
--Longitudinal (Z axis) access to adjusting and locking of retaining device of the assembly
--Easier and faster to install than traditional locknut & lockwasher
--Eliminates the need for cutting or repairing keyway in shaft
--Infinite adjustment and preloading capability
--Does not damage shaft threads when secured
--Meets and exceeds specifications of ANSI/ABMA 8.2-1991
--Manufactured in USA
--RoHS Compliant
Applications:
--High speed assemblies
--High precision assemblies
--Balanced assembly applications
--Off road equipment
--Mining, mineral extraction, and drilling operations
--Pulp, paper and steel mills rolls
--Pump manufacturers
--Numerous other machinery and equipment applications
