Product Description

3M Hookit Paper Disc 735U is constructed with a blend of ceramic aluminum oxide grain on a strong paper backing, offering a combination of durability and cutting efficiency together with the convenience of a hook-and-loop attachment system.

From the Manufacturer

The 3M™ Hookit™ Paper Dust-Free Disc 735U has a 5-hole design that takes care of the dust so you can concentrate on sanding, and features a blend of ceramic aluminum oxide grain on a strong paper backing for an exceptional combination of durability and cutting efficiency. This disc features a load resistant coating that reduces loading and optimizes the useful life of the disc. The 5 holes allow a vacuum accessory to suck dust away from your work surface and reduce air-borne wood dust. This disc has a hook-and-loop backing for easy attachment and re-attachment of the disc between grade shifts or work pieces. It is recommended for use on whitewood sanding as well as metal fabrication, finishing stainless steel, and paint prep.

3M ceramic abrasive grain is a ceramic mineral designed using a 3M patented process to enhance toughness and hardness of the grain. For increased performance, 735U products feature aluminum oxide blended with 3M ceramic abrasive grain for one of the longest-lasting products available.

The 5-hole pattern dust-management system on the disc uses a series of evenly-spaced holes aligned with the disc pad and vacuum vent. The holes help eliminate airborne dust as well as debris on the workpiece, for improved working conditions and increased productivity.

3M offers a complete line of hook-and-loop style Hookit™ discs for work spaces where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust or dirt. They are often used in applications where a Stikit™ disc may be too aggressive, as Hookit discs tend to leave finer finishes than adhesive backed discs. Hookit sanding discs conveniently attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately), can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used again and again for the extent of the abrasive life.
