Feature

●Nelson Treehouse Attachment Bolts (TABs) are the structural backbone of every treehouse and will ensure a safe & sustainable treehouse project for not only your family, but for the trees as well.
●The Nelson Treehouse Tree Fort TAB is designed for kid-scale treehouses. It is the most "lightweight" TAB we have created and is perfect for backyard, small scale projects.
●Tree Fort TAB load varies on tree species (hardwood vs. softwood). Working load per Tree Fort TAB is between ~2,500-4,500lbs. Installing a Cable or Strut Back-Up adds strength to a TAB.
●The lag-threaded end secures the TAB in the tree, while the other end extends outward, acting as an artificial tree limb that supports structural members like beams. You’ll attach your beams to the TABs using a Dynamic or Static Uplift Arrestors.
●Using the correct treehouse hardware will ensure your treehouse is safe & secure, while allowing the tree(s) to move and grow for the life of the tree.
●Lab Tested & Engineer Approved. Nelson Treehouse Hardware is the highest quality treehouse hardware on the market.
●For installation, use the "Tree Fort TAB Install Kit"

After establishing TAB elevation and orientation, use the 13/16” Auger Bit supplied in the Tree Fort Install Kit to drill a level hole 8-3/4” into solid wood (excluding bark).

*Minimum Recommended Tree Diameter ~10"

Using the Forstner/Custom Pilot Bit supplied in the Tree Fort Install Kit, drill 3” into solid wood (excluding bark).

*Be sure to clean the bit and hole often, as woodchips will build up quickly.

TAB Install Step 4

Screw in the TF TAB until the boss is seated.

Allowing for Tree Movement

Important Note:

When building a treehouse that involves more than one tree, you must allow for independent tree movement and must never fix the trees together with beams or structural components. Our hardware has been designed to allow beams to safely connect to more than one tree, all while allowing movement.
