  • The thermal pad assists in the Steam Decks heat dissipation. Aluminums high thermal conductivity makes it hotter to the touch. Avoid touching to prevent burns.

4. Handling Stuck Buttons

  • After button installation, ensure even spacing and proper pressing and rebounding. If no gaps exist, loosen the screw slightly (2-3 turns) to create more space.

5. Addressing Gaps After Installation

  • Press around the edges after installing the back plate to ensure all clips are securely fastened.
  • Minor gaps (0.5mm-1mm) are normal due to production variations. For larger gaps, try removing thermal grease, press firmly, or soften with a hair dryer before reinstalling.
