1. Bimini top support pole clamps can hold 1-inch OD tube tightly, so you just easily pop in or out when using, it’s not necessary to pre-drill a hole on one pole for bolt mounting. However, it will not fall off even at speed and choppy water if you do this.
2. It may slide up and down if you are 7/8 inch OD bimini top pole, so please try to drill a hole on one side pole or rail for perfect holding with bolt and nut. (Installation steps as the picture shown)
