Description:

Principle:
The origin of the name of caustic soda produced by ion exchange membrane method is mainly due to the special selective permeability of cation exchange membrane, which only allows cations to pass through and prevents anions and gases from passing through, that is, f only allows H+, Na+, while CI, OH and bipolar products H2 and CI2 can not pass through, thus preventing anodization.
The mixture of the cathode product H2 and the pole product CI2 may lead to explosion hazard.
It also plays a role in avoiding the reaction between CI2 and NaOH, another product of the cathode, to produce NaCIO, which affects the purity of caustic soda.
