Quick Strong Easy

Zipbolts Miter Joint Connector is the fastest and easiest way to join your handrails miter joints together, while remaining hidden and maintaining the strength of traditional old style rail bolts.

Gone are the days of trying to start a nut in a restrictive location, which is further compounded by having to tighten it afterwards. The Maxi Mitres gear-driven system provides unbeatable speed when joining staircase components together.

Specifically designed for connecting two sections of horizontal or vertical angled handrail that are joined between 90 and 180 degrees, the adjustable shaft is inserted into the angled handrail and then connected to the gear. Once the connection is made, the Zipbolt gear-driven system tightens the assembly using the included 5mm hex bit and provides the user with a strong connection that was joined in a fraction of the time it takes to connect staircase components using standard rail bolts.

Step 1 - Install

After prep work, insert the Maxi Mitres shaft into the rail.

Step 2 - Connect

Insert the gear-driven housing into the opening and cover threads.

Step 3 - Tighten

Tighten until the shaft pivot is intersected by the cut angle. Install the other side and engage with the gear housing, then tighten.

To perfectly align the angle, adjust by releasing one gear housing 1-2 turns then tighten the other gear housing.

NOTE: Do not use impact driver to tighten gear housing.
