TOP WIZDOMS FROM OUR GREAT CUSTOMERS ( SOFT CROSS BARS AND KAYAK ROOF RACK )
1. Before installing, make sure your rooftop is clean and lay them out on the car, put the kayak in them and determine the best routing for the tie down straps. Route these straps before installing the roof racks onto the vehicle.
2. All straps and tie downs had a slight stretch to them. I suggest that after install and loaded, you drive 20-25 miles, and retightened. If you are traveling at highway speeds, do this a 2nd time about 50 miles after the first retightening for safe point of view
3. Recommend take it off when it is not in use to keep it longer life and don’t leave them on your car when it’s raining otherwise it will cause leaking when this soft cross bar get wet;
4. It holds on decently secure when you thread in the strap the right way. Always insert the strap from the bottom of the buckle upwards, as going from the top will cause the belt to slip
5. Straps can sometimes vibrate while driving but this can be fixed by slightly twisting the strap
6. ensuring everything is strapped down well before drive
