FAQs:
1. What materials are the Werkstein diamond drills suitable for?
- They are perfect for hard materials such as glass, ceramic tiles, stoneware, granite, marble, limestone, quartz, terracotta, terrazzo and many more.
2. How high should the speed of the drill be when drilling?
- In principle, the highest possible speed is important to ensure a long service life of the drill bits and to achieve good drilling progress. Therefore, a (corded) drill with 2000 - 3000 rpm should ideally be used for the drill bits.
- When using a cordless screwdriver, we recommend a speed of at least 1600 rpm.
3. Does cooling have to be used during drilling?
- No, it is not necessary to cool the drill bits, as they are equipped with cooling wax inside. However, it can increase the life of the drills.
4. How are the drills used?
- First, pre-drill a hole with the golden carbide bit. Caution: This is only used for spot drilling and is not suitable for the entire drilling in hard materials!
- Then insert one of the included diamond drills and continue drilling the hole. It is important that you make slight swiveling movements during drilling. This ensures an ideal drilling result.
5. Are the drills compatible with my machine?
- Thanks to the exact hex shank size of 6.3 mm, you can use our drill bits with commercially available drills and cordless screwdrivers of many well-known brands. This is ensured by manufacturing according to the best possible standards.
