Blue Wing Olive (or Blue Winged Olives) Mayflies are an important hatch for fly anglers anywhere in the world that trout swim. These tiny Mayflies, often just referred to as BWOs, can hatch any time in the Spring and Fall and often throughout the summer in the morning and evenings. Trout will key on these hatches and will often ignore any other offerings.
