Description

The Insect Pooter is an essential entomology apparatus for hands-free collection of insects and other small organisms. It consists of two flexible tubes attached to a clear plastic chamber. The user positions one tube over the insect and draws it into the viewing chamber by sucking on the other tube. A fine mesh screen blocks the hole leading up into the tube in the users mouth to prevent the specimen from being accidentally inhaled. Pooters offer an alternative to mechanical collection methods like hand, nets, and tweezers, which can be harmful to the specimen as well as the collector.

Size of viewing chamber: 2" dia x 2"H; clear tube measures 10" with a 5mm ID, and green tube measures 8".
