Recommendations for Using Polarizing Film
Considering that you may need to adhere the polarizing film to a screen or other smooth surface and may need to remove it, we use a slightly adhesive. We have tested and found that the slightly adhesive is sufficient for normal use , but if you need to securely attach the polarizing film, we recommend following these steps to ensure a strong bond to the surface:
- Adjust Polarizing Film for Desired Effect: First, determine the desired polarization effect for your polarizing film. Adjust the rotation angle of the film accordingly before proceeding with cutting.
- Clean the Surface: Before applying the polarizing film, its essential to clean the surface thoroughly, removing any dust and debris. You can use a soft cloth to gently wipe the surface, ensuring it is free of dust.
- Lightly Spray Distilled Water (Optional): If necessary, you can use a spray bottle to lightly mist the surface with a small amount of distilled water. Be cautious not to use excessive water to avoid unnecessary moisture on the surface. (This step is generally not required under normal circumstances.) Please note that this step should be avoided on electronic devices and non-waterproof items.
- Adhere the Polarizing Film: Please note that the polarizing film has protective films on both sides. Remove the protective films from both sides, exposing the adhesive side. Then, stick the film to the surface of your object.
- Remove Air Bubbles: After applying the polarizing film, use a flat, soft tool (such as a soft scraper, avoiding any potential damage to the film) to gently press from the center towards the edges. This helps eliminate any possible air bubbles. Be gentle when using the tool, and avoid applying excessive pressure.
By following these steps, you can securely adhere the polarizing film to a screen or other smooth surface.
