✔1. Make sure the repair area is clean. Wear disposable gloves and work in a ventilated environment. ✔2. Pinch the cap of the epoxy glue, then pull it outward to remove the cap. ✔3. Push the pusher and squeeze the epoxy glue onto the mixing spoon in 1:1 ratio. ✔4. Provide two colors of gold dust and add in small amounts according to preference. ✔5. Using the mixing stick, stir the glue and gold dust for 30-40 seconds. ✔6. Use a brush to dip and apply to break locations to complete the splice. ✔7. 30 minutes after curing begins, 6 hours for enhanced curing, 24 hours for full curing.

Different Kintsukuroi Repair Types

1. Cracking: where gold dust and resin or varnish are used to join broken fragments, overlap minimally or fill in from missing fragments

2. Fragmentation: where there are no available replacement ceramic fragments and all that is added is gold or gold/varnish compounds

3. Combined call: in which similarly shaped but mismatched fragments are used to replace missing parts of the original vessel, resulting in a patchwork effect

About the 30 minute epoxy glue?

Epoxy glue 1:1 mix well, 30 minutes after the slow curing, 24 hours after the complete curing. It is recommended that after the application is completed, it can be fixed with the help of external force to achieve better bonding effect.

About epoxy glue before opening and sealing?

Before opening the epoxy, invert the tube to make sure the epoxy is on the bottom, pinch the cap and pull outward. To seal, wipe off any residual glue, make sure the round and square openings line up, and close the cap.

About the use of gold dust?

Gold powder is recommended to be added in small quantities and can be adjusted according to the effect after mixing. If the mixture appears to be visibly sticky and cured, it is no longer suitable for further application.
