Jo Sonjas Tannin Sealer is recommended for preparing surfaces for painting that are likely to "smear" paint layers. These can include knotted wood, lacquered or stripped antique furniture, and masonite. Tannin Sealer can also be used as a gold leaf size and can be used with real and imitation leaves.
