Description

This curved lightwood talking drum beater from Africa Heartwood Project is suited for all sizes of talking drum, tama, or dondo. The curved playing end allows for ideal positioning to strike a drum head held near the players body. The wide, flat head makes playing on thin skin drums more safe and controlled. Covered by our satisfaction guarantee, this dondo stick features: * Handcarved in Ghana out of lightwood * Curved end held in place by string or leather and sometimes wrapped for strength * One size fits all drums and players * Hand-carved, so each stick will vary a bit in size, shape, and (im)perfection * African-made product from Africa Heartwood Project NOTE: Wood sticks should never be used on high tension drums with thinner animal skins, including most djembes, ashikos, doumbeks, etc. If you are not sure whether mallet use is appropriate for your particular drum, contact us and well try to help.
