Coming with 50ft. long directly burial cable (a PVC jacket 5-core cable), the probe should be trenched and placed next to your drive. No earth grounding required. Generally install the wand at least 25ft. away from the gate, and buried 2” deep from ground and 8” from driveway edge. Key Installation Points & Note
- Install TEW3 away from any power lines to avoid interrupting detection signal.
- Generally install the wand 25 to 100ft. away from the gate, and bury 2” deep from ground and 8” from driveway edge.
- It can be placed up to 100ft (30m) away from the gate. Shield wire (5 x 18AWG) is recommended for extension.
- The wand may be activated automatically in strong magnetic field or by lawn mower, tools, coins, or any other metal objects if the sensitivity is set too high. May not be used as a safety device.
