●[Why Red Disc Seal is Needed?] The Red Disc Seal addresses a common but a hidden issue. Tub spout could develop a leak without you knowing it, until it’s too late. The slip-on spout fits over a pipe. If there is ANY exposed/unsealed area around the pipe, water will get behind the finished wall. Then, you’ll notice water damage on the walls and the ceiling.

●[Easy to install] 1. Remove the tub spout, 2. Clean the copper pipe, 3. Apply silicone caulk to the back of the Disc, 4. Slip the disc over the pipe and push it against the wall, 5. Apply silicone grease to the o-ring and slip it over the pipe, 6. Key step, seat the o-ring in to the back groove of the disc. See our detained installation video from an actual installation.
●[Why Red Disc Seal] The Red Disc Seal is designed to seal the hole behind the spout using a one piece rigid disc and a precision o-ring. O-ring seals against the pipe and the disc creates a very tight nest for the o-ring. This nesting is the key to creating a watertight seal.

We offer spout rear seals for all three different pipe options:
1. RDS-C is perfect for 1/2" Copper pipe.
2. RDS-CS works best with 1/2" Copper pipe with the fitting attached to its end.
3. RDS-G is a must have for 1/2" Galvanized Steel pipe.
No other manufacturer offers all three solutions.
