Usage steps

First load the sensor battery, and then install the main unit battery/power supply.

What is IPX4 of Sensor?

IPX4 protection level can only prevent splashing into the interior, can not be soaked by rain and by water.

How to install the sensor?

A. Vertically at least 6 feet above the ground.

B. There is good air flow and ventilation around the sensor.

C. Direct sunlight will make the reading higher, so the shade on the north and south side is best.

D. Keep it away from heat sources.

Why does "dashes" appear?

A. Walls, glass windows, stucco walls, and large metal objects will block signal transmission and shorten the distance.

B. Radio, cable, wire and other interference signal transmission.

What to do when a "dash" appears?

A. Place the host and sensor together and remove all batteries.

B. Place new alkaline batteries in turn into the sensor-host.

C. Observe whether the LED of the sensor flashes every 31s.

D. After re-connection, fix it for 15m and then replace it.

How to test accuracy?

A. Bring the sensor indoors, place it side by side with the host for 2h.

B. Compare the different readings, temp, humidity.

C. If the sensor reads correctly, try another location outdoors.

D. Don`t compare readings with weather recording stations.
