How to Calibrate the pH meter
A. 6.86 point calibration with ±0.1pH accuracy
Step 1) Dissolve the 6.86 buffer powder in 8.5 oz (250ml) of distilled water.
Step 2) Turn the meter on by pressing the“ON/OFF”button.
Step 3) Immerse the electrode into the 6.86pH solution, gently stir and wait at least 5 minutes.
Step 4) Press the“CAL”button for 5 seconds then release. Device is calibrated once the display stops flashing “6.86“.
B. 4.00 point calibration with ±0.02pH accuracy
Follow steps 1-4 in section A but use the 4.00 buffer powder rather than 6.86.
Step 5) When the display flashes “6.86”immediately press the “CAL” button again and the reading will flash “4.00”.
Step 6) Wait for the display to stop flashing before use.
C. 9.18 point calibration with ±0.02pH accuracy
Follow steps 1-4 in section A but use the 9.18 buffer powder rather than 6.86.
Step 5) Immediately press the “CAL” button two times. The reading will begin to flash “9.18”.
Step 6) Device is calibrated once the display stops flashing.
