World renowned and considered the second largest tire company in the world, the french company, Michelin, started from humble beginnings. The Michelin brothers were running a farming machinery business using their rubber technology for common farming parts. All it took was for a cyclist to approach them when his tire failed and ended up creating the first detachable pneumatic tire and the rest is history. Michelin has produced tires in all forms for they are required such as bicycles, cars, aircrafts and trains; always at the forefront of travel since being established 134 years ago. Invoilved in MotoGP, Rally, Le Mans, Formula one and even supplied tires for the Space Shuttle. Being involved in the car industry since the inception of the modern car, they stand by their products through the test of time and this Volkswagen T1b shows how recognizable they are to all, sporting their beloved mascot, the Michelin Man, made out of a stack of tires, and voted the "Best Logo of the Century" in 2000 and "Icon of the Millenium" in 2018.
