Chain Design Features


Heat Treatment This ensures the optimum wear life and toughness for all component parts.	Shot Peened and Ball Calibrating Link plates and rollers are shot peened for greater fatigue strength. The ball calibrating assures maximum resistance to fatigue failure for the plate hole.	Pre-Stressing Pre-stressing operations firmly seat the chain parts evenly distributing the working load. It accurately establishes chain length and prevents rapid elongation during the initial run in period.	Pre-Loading Roller chains are running after final assembly, the running in of chain increase it resistance to fatigue and prevent initial elongation of the chain.
