How to make biological microscope slides
1. Collect your specimen. It can be any biological sample that interests you, such as a piece of plant tissue, a drop of pond water, or a hair from an animal.
2. Place your sample onto the slide.Use a dropper or tweezers to position your sample onto the center of the slide.
3. Add a drop of water to the slide. Depending on the nature of your sample, you may need to add a liquid, such as water, to help it spread out on the slide.
4. Cover the specimen with a cover slip, press gently on the cover slip to remove any air bubbles.
5. Stain the sample (optional). Many biological specimens benefit from staining to see specific parts. There are a variety of staining solutions available.
6. Wait till the sample to dry before view the slide under the microscope.
