By using color temperature and wavelength, we will show you how to choose the appropriate underwater video light (fill light).

We know that the lower the color temperature, the warmer the color of the light, and the higher the color rendering index; the higher the color temperature, the cooler the color of the light, and the lower the color rendering index. The color temperature of warm-light flashlights we use in daily life is generally around 3000K-4500K, and the color temperature of white-light flashlights is generally around 5500K-7000K. So how should we choose the diving flashlight we need?
Warm-colored light. The yellower the light, the stronger the underwater penetration. Therefore, warm yellow light can be appropriately used in sea areas with turbid water and poor light transmittance. The disadvantage of yellow light is that the restored color of the object will be relatively poor.
Cool white. Most flashlights are cooler white (color temperature 6500k). The advantage of white light is that you can clearly see underwater objects, with high color reproduction and good shooting effects. The disadvantage of cold white light is that it is dazzling and has poor underwater penetration. Cold white light combined with red or blue light can make the light less dazzling and the shooting effect is also very good.
If you have no obvious preference for the color of underwater video lights and the water quality is relatively good, then I suggest you choose a white light diving flashlight between 5500k-6000k. Because the color temperature of flashlights in this range is very close to the sun at 12 noon, the refraction angle of underwater objects and the color reproduction of creatures are excellent.
If the water quality of the water you are in is relatively poor, then I recommend that you choose a yellow-light diving flashlight, because the yellow-light flashlight will have better penetrating power underwater.

What is the switch lockout feature?

Switch lockout prevents the dive light from turning on or off accidentally. Press and hold both switches to enter lockout mode and press and hold both switches for 1 second to unlock. If it wont turn on or off, check to see if it is in lockout mode.
