TThe laboratory grade cast iron heavy base is size 4" x 6" and is provided with a zinc plated steel rod, size .3125 inches diameter x 18 inches length, and it screws securely into the base. The base has an enamel finish, which is acid resistant and will hold up to corrosion and high temperatures.
