Description

PAR MeterPAR Meter

Key benefits of having a PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation) meter

  • Optimal Light Levels: A PAR meter measures the quantity and intensity of light within the PAR range (400-700 nanometers), which is crucial for photosynthesis. Measuring PAR, you can adjust the distance between the light source and plants or use supplementary lighting to maintain the desired light levels.
  • Light Distribution and Uniformity: Helps evaluate the distribution and uniformity of light across a given area. This promotes healthier growth and reduces the risk of plants developing light-related issues such as stretching or bleaching.
  • Plant Health Monitoring: Aid in monitoring plant health and diagnosing light-related problems. If plants exhibit stunted growth, yellowing leaves, or other signs of stress.
  • Efficient Lighting Management: Assess the performance and efficiency of your lighting system.

Comes with advance mode selection

  1. CALI : This function enables the user to adjust the ZERO point. When the CALI icon is flashing, pressing ENTER activates the CALI mode. Holding ENTER for 3 seconds completes the adjustment of the ZERO function. Please note that the photosensitive portion must be fully covered during calibration.
  2. LOG : This feature enables the user to access the historical data. Once "LOG" is selected, the user can navigate through the history data using the Up and Down buttons. Pressing ENTER will exit this mode. The meter has the capability to record up to 100 groups of data.
  3. RCFS : "Restore Factory Settings" feature enables the user to reset the device to its original factory configuration and delete all stored log data. To activate this mode, navigate to RCFS mode and use the Up or Down button to select "YES." Press and hold the ENTER button for 3 seconds until an audible beep confirms the action, indicating that the device has been restored to its factory settings.

PAR meters have versatile applications in horticulture, research, and lighting optimization.

PAR meters are valuable tools for optimizing plant growth and maximizing productivity, whether its for commercial horticulture, greenhouse operations, scientific research, or personal gardening.

  • Horticulture: Indispensable tools for optimizing plant growth and increasing yields. Growers can adjust lighting conditions to ensure plants receive the appropriate light levels. This is particularly important in controlled environments, such as vertical farms or hydroponic systems, where artificial lighting is used to supplement natural light.
  • Greenhouse Management: By measuring PAR, greenhouse operators can assess the quality and quantity of light reaching plants. This information helps them adjust shading, ventilation, and supplemental lighting to create ideal growing conditions and maximize plant productivity.
  • Research: Researchers use PAR meters to investigate the effects of different light intensities, spectra, and photoperiods on plant growth, development, and physiological processes.
  • Personal Use and Home Gardening: Increasingly used by plant enthusiasts for personal use in home gardens or indoor plant cultivation. Hobbyists can ensure their plants receive sufficient light for healthy growth.
