1. Remove top section of brass stemDust from tire valve stem may enter the gauge with normal use. This can cause the reading to not hold on the dial. This is common in analog gauges, and if this happens, you can easily fix the problem by following these steps. First, unthread the top section of the brass stem. |
2. Remove internal seal partsCarefully remove the internal seal components:

3. Clean dust and debrisGently clean internal components, and blow inside of the stem to clear dust and debris. Rotate and press the bleeder valve a few times to dislodge any trapped debris. |
4. ReassembleReinsert components in this order:
Lastly, thread the top of the brass stem back onto the base. |
