This straight gate design is most commonly used, this straight gate tends to be stronger in nature then a bent gate design. This carabiner had a key nose, which does not have a notch like traditional pin nose designs. The advantage of having a key nose carabiner is that there is no notch to snag onto anything while clipping or unclipping. This carabiner displays a modified “D” shape which helps to push the load to the back of the spine.
