NESTING

Nesting is when a smaller faraday bag is placed inside of another larger faraday bag to ensure greater protections through multiple layers. The material used to make EMP bags cannot simply be made thicker, as it then becomes breakable and loses its pliability over time. By nesting, the material retains its strength and durability, but the double layer gains the extra effectiveness against a EMP or HEMP attack.

This is one of the reasons why there are many different sizes of EMP bags offered.

Nesting puts more metallic layers between the electronics and static electricity threats, which is important in situations such as if one bag has been marred or has not been tightly sealed.

Faraday Defense Kits are a great way to obtain a variety of sizes so that Nesting can be utilized for extra protection (i.e. medium bags can fit inside larger bags).
