The steps of using the illuminometer:

1. Turn on the power.

2. Open the photodetector cover and place the photodetector horizontally in the measurement position.

3. Select the appropriate measuring gear.

If only "1" is displayed at the left end of the display, it means that the illuminance is excessive. You need to press the range button (8 button) to adjust the measurement multiple.

4. The illuminometer starts working and displays the illuminance value on the display.

5. The display data on the display constantly changes. When the display data is stable, press the HOLD button (8 button) to lock the data.

6. Read and record the observations displayed in the reader. The observed value is equal to the product of the displayed number and the range value in the reader.

For example, the screen displays 500, the lower right corner displays the status as x2000, and the illuminance measurement value is 1000000lx, which is (500x2000).

7. Press the lock switch again to cancel the reading lock function.

8. For each observation, read three times in succession and record.

9. After each measurement is completed, press the power switch to turn off the power.

10. Close the photodetector cover and put it back in the case.
