Each Kestrel Fire Weather Drop measures just 1 x 1.8 x 2.4 inches (24 x 46 mm x 60 mm) and weighs just 1.2 ounces (34 grams). DROP loggers meet military and international standards for water, dust and shock resistance (IP-67 and MIL-STD-810G) and are conveniently equipped with a sturdy D-ring for hanging wherever needed.

Use a Kestrel DROP Anywhere
When managing a burn site, knowing environmental conditions are within prescription is essential for compliance and ensuring a fire doesn’t get out of control. Gathering sufficient weather data from site visits to make a decision on when to burn can be challenging. In addition to the full wind and weather readings from a Kestrel weather meter, the Kestrel Drop D3FW data logger can be left on site.
Wireless and Powered by the Kestrel LiNK App
The DROP employs a sealed precision thermistor to monitor and record temperature over an operational and specification range of 14°F to 131°F (10°C to 55°C) within +/- 0.9°F (0.5°C) accuracy. The humidity specification range is from 10 to 90%. Each Kestrel DROP is powered by one CR2032 lithium coin cell battery that will last up to 4 months (typical conditions and logging/connection settings).

Includes adjustable clamp compatible with all Kestrel Meters. Ideal for Kestrel Rotating Vane Mount accessory. This tri-pod extends 20.5 - 52" and weighs 2.3lbs.
Portable Rotating Vane Mount
This precision engineered accessory securely mounts any Kestrel 5 Series meter to any tripod or other ¼-20 fitted bracket. The Kestrel 5 Series Vane Mount offers many improvements over the Kestrel 4 Series Vane Mount including a sturdier one-piece boom, easier assembly, more secure retention of the Kestrel meter, and the convenience of being able to also use the Kestrel mounting clip as a fixed ¼-20 compatible bracket, allowing use of an extension pole for taking wind or air flow readings.
