How to install Urethane Band Saw Tires
- When replacing parts or servicing the band saw, make sure to unplug the band saw.
- Remove the old tires and clean any dirt, debris or adhesives from the machine.
- Urethane bandsaw tires do not require adhesives, but some models of bandsaws require stretched tires.
- If you can’t get the tires on by hand stretching them, clamp the tire to the wheel. Rotate the tire around the wheel in both directions and add clamps as you go. Or soak it in hot water for a few minutes.
- Once the tire is firmly mounted on the wheel, the stretch will need to be smoothed out.
