Turn off your Steam Deck(Power off, not sleep mode), disconnect any cables and remove your SD card. |
Use a Phillips screw driver to remove the eight screws including four 9.5mm screws and four 5.8mm screws on the back cover. |
1. Use a pry and insert it into the gap between the back cover and the front cover along the grip. 2. Pry up the back cover to release it from the locking points. 3. Hold the front case with one hand,and pull the back cover up |

1. Use the tip of a pair of tweezers to lift up the small locking flap on the joystick cables ZIF connector,and take the cable out of the connector. 2. Grip the cable by the blue pull tab, not by the cable itself. |
Use our phillips driver to remove the three 5.2mm screws,then you can remove the joystick module off your Steam Deck. |
1. Put GuliKit joystick back to the joystick position of your Steam Deck, install the screws back, plug the cable into the ZIF connector and lock it. 2. During this process, you need to hold the Steam Deck off ofthe table surface so it isnt resting on the new joystick while you tighten down the screws. Tip: The stick cap is tightly attached to the joystick,there may be loosening of it during transportation. Before installationyou may press the stick cap down hard to avoid stucking joystick by floating stick cap against case. |

Reassemble the back case to your Steam Deck and install the screws. Note: Because of the limitation of the physical structure,the ALPS joystick used by Steam Deck has accuracy of ±5 degrees in center, while GuliKit electromagnetic joy- stick has accuracy of ±3 degrees in center. Therefore under no dead zone modethe joystick may not return to center exactly each time. This is normal and will not affect the experience in the game.Please use it with no worries. |
