Manual Lens with Long Focal Length
- It is recommended to focus with live-view to achieve accurate focus. As with all long telephoto lenses a combination of sturdy camera support, substantial tripod, good technique, fast shutter speed, use of remote, and mirror lock up are recommended to avoid camera shake to achieve the best results.
No matter how good autofocus is, there are still times when manual focus is the better shooting option. When used in the right scenario, it gives a photographer more control over the photo, and in some cases, achieves effects that arent otherwise possible in autofocus mode.

If the image turns out dark, perform the following steps,
- a. Reduce the shutter speed, from 1/500s down to 1/100s or slower 1/50 etc;
- b. Increase the ISO value, from ISO 100 to ISO 200/400/800 etc.
- c. Use a remote shutter release and a tripod to increase image stability;
- d. Change your position to allow more ambient light to pass through the lens into the cameras image sensor;
