Description

Tube In a Box for Every Season

These tubes are not for everyone however, they are very popular with the adventurous & experienced tubers. Thousands have been purchased.

Let’s face it, people like to play in the water for hours and Tube In a Box is great for that. They work best in rivers, lakes, oceans, and most natural bodies of water. They are durable and can take the extra pressure when playing in running water.

Winter: snow tubing in your back yard, off trail or at the local sled hill. These are not wimpy tubes that pop; they are the real thing, durable & tough for years of enjoyment.
Summer: floating in a lake, rushing down a river or lounging in a pool. These tubes are perfect for hours of hard play or relaxation.
Protected valve stem: Small rubber safety valve cap protects from pokes & scrapes.

Winter tubing tips: As with all sleds, tubes work best on snow pack surfaces.  Powder and wet snow are difficult for tubes & sleds. If hill is not snow packed, make a trail with a couple of runs.  If your tube still goes slow; add more air.  If it still goes slow; wax the bottom.  While not required, tube covers help the tube perform in all snow conditions.  A 36" tube cover is available and is perfect for kids and smaller adults.

To inflate: As the tube takes shape use a start\stop method; a small burst of air then stop, continue until full.  This keeps the tube in round.  As the tube inflates the outer diameter increases & the center hole decreases. Tube must be firm to the touch. Under-inflated tubes will go slow in snow & not float properly in water. You can see our video on our website: tubeinabox
To deflate: Use a valve tool (found at auto stores) to remove the valve core. Re-insert valve core; seat it tightly to avoid slow leaks.

Tube Sizing: X-Small tube inflates to 32" and is suitable for 50- 90 lbs (this tube is best for summer months). Small tube inflates to 36" suitable for 120 lbs or less. For very small kids, tube works great in water but the kiddos may be too light weight to slide well in snow. They can hitch a ride with an adult on larger tube. Large tube inflates to 40" suitable for 120-175lb. X Large tube inflates to 45" suitable for individuals up to 280 lbs and our largest is now the 68" which is for multi-person play.

  • 100% COMMERCIAL GRADE RUBBER: A combination snow & swim tube perfect for sledding, swimming & floating! These are real old school inner tubes like the ones that first invented all the fun.  Durable and tough - ready for any season.
  • SAFETY VALVE STEM: No more being poked with one of those long metal stems from the old days. Our unique rubber valve stem & cap is engineered for safety. It is less noticeable and shallow to the body of the tube. It protects you from scrapes & bruises. You’re going to love it!
  • UV PROTECTED / TEAR RESISTANT: These inner tubes are UV protected so the sun wont harm the tube and cause it to deflate prematurely. The tubes are durable and very tear resistant and will not pop like many vinyl tubes.
  • PROPER INFLATION: Be sure to properly inflate your inner tube to the fullest size as specified: 36", 40", 45" or 68" outside diameter for best results. Use the stop and start air flow method to prevent bulging. See our video on you tube. Note: the inner diameter will decrease as you inflate your tube.
  • *INNER TUBE COVER*: We have heard you loud and clear and now have covers for the 36" inner tube. The inner tube’s cover will secure the rider and allow the smaller children to have more fun. At times, smaller tubes with light weight children may not go as fast as the larger tubes with heaver riders.  A cover may be just the way to help providing a smoother, faster ride as it glides down the hill. Get them while you can!
