Sized for KidsThe soft top provides safety for beginners, and the wide texture doesnt require wax. 35L of volume provides plenty of float for most kids to have a board that they can learn to surf on that is also easily carried and transported. |
VersatileThe size and durability of the Chub makes for many uses: kids surfboard, advanced kids/adult shorebreak wave charger, river surfing (pictured), free surfing (towed behind a boat), a larger bodyboard, even sledding when the snow comes! |
Shark-Resistant Zebra PatternIn 2013 University of Western Australia neurobiologist Nathan Hart & entrepreneur Hamish Jolly conducted research that indicated a zebra striped pattern was a deterrence to sharks & presented their results in a Ted Talk. The patterns disperse the shark’s ability to identify the item, and mimic non-food source items in their environment. |
Screw-through safety fins2 removeable screw-through safety fins are included. These fins are a stiffer/more high performance fin than many screw through designs. |
The Rock-It CHUB is a buoyant, easy-to-paddle and maneuverable little twin-fin that floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee! This is the perfect board for the little grom learning to shred, and also doubles as a great board to tow behind a boat for freesurfing, for river surfing, charging shorebreak waves, sledding, and more!
CONSTRUCTION: Two marine wooden stringers are coated with an epoxy nano-coating to resist water absorption, then surrounded with a proprietary EPS foam and a color-fast UV resistant soft top layer. The soft top has a wide texture and doesnt require wax, although wax will improve grip.
Made with a focus on durability. Heat laminated with no harmful dyes, glues, resins or toxins in the production process, and manufactured in a facility that uses collected rainwater.
Why the Stripes? In 2013 a University of Western Australia neurobiologist conducted research that indicated a zebra striped pattern was a deterrence to sharks & presented their results in a Ted Talk. The patterns disperse the shark’s ability to identify the item, and mimic non-food source items in their environment.
Care Tip: when not in the water, keep the soft-top out of direct sunlight.
