The Creators of SensorPush

Jonathan Cousins and Nick Sears, creators of SensorPushJonathan Cousins and Nick Sears, creators of SensorPush

One of the best things for us about SensorPush is the group of wonderful people we’ve met, virtually and in-person.

Let us take a moment to introduce ourselves. Were Jon and Nick, founders of SensorPush.

SensorPush started in 2015. We both had a similar need: easy to use temperature and humidity tracking using our mobile phones.

Jon had a guitar that had cracked due to low humidity in his apartment. Nick was interested in monitoring the results of a DIY attic insulation project.

At the time, we were working together as Cousins & Sears Creative Technology, an award-winning design and development studio.

We did client work for small startups, huge companies like Nike, and everything in between. We were just a two person team, but our range was broad. We designed and built everything from data visualizations to interactive trade show booths.

It was a lot of fun and amazing experience, but we’d always wanted to design and build our own products. Since we couldnt find a good solution on the market for our temperature and humidity monitoring problem, we got to work.

SensorPush was born.

Into it went two lifetimes of wildly diverse experience.

Years of professional design and engineering work. Work in a science labs. Meetings with Fortune 500 executives. Even selling produce as a young man on a small town main street in middle America.

That experience may sound a bit disconnected, but it all pointed the same direction: build a great product and treat customers the way we’d like to be treated.

Almost a decade later, that hasn’t changed. We still design and build products that we love using. We still handle support in-house with the same core value: we’re not happy until the customer is happy.

We hope youll join us as we work to make environmental monitoring and data visualization easier and more valuable than ever.
