Scones on a plateScones on a plate

Scones, Cornbread, Brownies, Polenta Cake, Biscuits...

Did we give you some ideas? In fact, the options are endless. We have included a super simple scone recipe with the pan. You can use that as a starting point and add in your favourite things: cranberries, white chocolate, dark chocolate chips, raisins, orange or lemon zest, walnuts... You can eat scones with butter or cream cheese, although we can promise they are yummy just on their own as well!

Cast Iron Scone PanCast Iron Scone Pan

Resilient Cast Iron

The Scottish scone pan is pre-seasoned. “Seasoning” is vegetable oil baked onto the iron at a high temperature: not a chemical non-stick coating. The more you cook, the better it gets. Because you create, maintain, and even repair the seasoning, your cookware can last forever. Chemical non-stick coating cannot be repaired, limiting lifespan. Use a little extra oil, butter or shortening for the first few times making scones or cornbread, until you’ve built up the seasoning.

Cast iron is right at home on induction, ceramic, electric and gas cooktops, in your oven, on the grill, even on the campfire.

Do not use the microwave oven. Hand wash. Dry immediately. Rub with a light coat of vegetable oil after every wash.
