Expand-Your-Hand Bands are the fun, effective way to achieve muscle balance by working your extensors. They are perfect for everyone from Captains of Crush grip enthusiasts, rock climbers, guitar players, and shooters, to nonagenarians who want to keep on doing what they like to do with their hands.
Boost your strength and prevent, reduce or cure the pains associated with arthritis, overuse, abuse, and carpal tunnel syndrome.
Starting with the easiest, white, then green, yellow, blue, and red, the most difficult, all you have to remember is that a thicker band is going to be tougher to stretch than a thinner band. Slip a band of appropriate strength over the tips of your fingers; most people train all five fingers at once, but you can experiment with different combinations of fingers to suit your purposes.
Generally, the bands are positioned at about the height of the base of your fingernails, but feel free to experiment. Now all you do is extend your fingers, stretching them out against the resistance provided by the band. We recommend very strict form and moderate reps, and something like 3 sets of about 12 reps is a good general purpose program.
