The evil magician Maax has seized power in the mysterious city of Aruk. The king is in his hands, and to make matters worse, Maax wants to sacrifice the queens son. At the last moment, however, the child is saved by a peasant who names him Dar and raises him like his own son. It soon becomes apparent that Dar has remarkable abilities that allow him to interact with animals. One day the idyll ends.
