Description

This Mason Industries R18X18SW sheet consists of 81 2x2" Super W vibration isolation pads that reduce noise, high frequency vibration, and impact from machines. These vibration isolation pads are made of natural rubber for durability and maximum vibration isolation. The waffle pattern forms a self-sealing perimeter to keep oil and fluids from contaminating the pad, and the material contains anti-oxidants and anti-ozonants for corrosion resistance. A thin web separates the pads to provide evenly dimensioned sections that can be placed side-by-side to accommodate a machines load or stacked with 16 gauge shims between layers for increased deflection. The matching pattern on both sides of the pad improves its structural strength for increased load capacity. These Mason Super W pads are suitable for use with compressors, HVAC units, pumps, generators, transformers, and presses.

Shock and vibration control products (absorbers, mounts, and pads) reduce air and structure-borne dissonance by either blocking or absorbing sound waves, or damping or isolating vibrations that cause them.  Shock absorbers, vibration damping mounts, and vibration damping pads can extend equipment life and help protect work environments, and they are most commonly used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems or in other large machinery operations. Weight distribution determines the number of mounts or pads needed. If evenly distributed, the maximum load capacity per mount or pad should equal the total weight of the machine divided by the number of mounting points available.

Mason Industries manufactures noise reduction, vibration isolation, and seismic restraint control products such as mountings, hangers, and flexible connectors for mechanical equipment. The company, founded in 1958, is headquartered in Hauppauge, NY.
