Description
BILITOOLS CV Boot Clamp Pliers 3/8"D
On modern vehicles, the high-strength stainless steel clamps need much more force to compress them and secure the boot. For this reason, manufacturers (VAG, Vauxhall/Opel, Ford and others) now specify a torque figure that the boot clamps have to be tightened to. If the clamps are not tightened to the specified torque figure, the boots could leak.
3/8" square drive facilitates the attachment of a torque wrench to ensure a manufacturers torque setting, typically between 23Nm and 30Nm.
The clamp pliers are fitted with two-way jaws, set at 90° to each other, which greatly assists in gaining access to the clamp in the busy suspension/driveshaft areas.
